Excellent point. It blinds us to our own logic and our own best interest.

I’m not tracking this topic in particular. However, I share your sentiments about polarization in general, Lee.

I believe it’s good practice to actively try to resist putting each other into enemy camps and dehumanizing. As temporarily satisfying it may feel to vent frustrations onto other people, it’s no way to live. Demonizing and name-calling should end in grade school. It can be so limiting to only be respectful toward like-minded people. I think we all just want to be heard. Sharing some common bonds, activities, goals, community - goes a long way to building foundations. We should guard against purposefully cracking them. There’s a world of things to learn and share with one another.
