Personally, I am a registered non-partisan and have been for years. I have voted Republican in the past as well as Democrat. I have to say that in view of what has gone on in the past 6 years, I strongly oppose the Republican candidates and their leader.
Obama appears to be a very sincere candidate. I feel that, probably due to his youth, he shoulders a bit of political naivete. I'm not sure that Hilary will be a viable candidate either mostly because I truly believe the American people are not ready for a woman president. I say that in spite of the fact that the world has known many outstanding women leaders; Indira Ghandi, Margaret Thatcher and the present day leaders in the Philipines, Denmark, the Netherlands http://www.guide2womenleaders.com/Current-Women-Leaders.htm
Call me a pessimist, but I don't have faith that American voters can see past the blinders of sexism and rascism to elect a strong, sincere candidate for the presidency. |
