On another note.
I have a friend who has had hepatitis C. She was on inteferon but unfortuantely it is not helping at all. Her white cell counts and red cell counts are down and the inteferon was doing nothing but make her sick, sapping her strength, just making her life miserable.
Her doctor took her off the inteferon, she's o.k. with that. The thing that is making her p.o.'d is that she has $20,000 of the drug sitting at home and is not allowed to give it to charity organizations that could use it. Why? Because, as they claim, "it was prescribed for her." Never mind that these are sealed containers, all the have to do is verify the information, put a label on it and give it to a needy person who could benefit from it.
Seems like the government just wants to help drug companies line their pockets at any cost.
