Mr. Bear posted re: air purifiers he'd purchased (See Msg #33321) and I wondered if anyone is finding these helpful And what your criteria is when deciding on an air cleaner. The HEPA filter ones supposedly don't release ozone, but then there is the hassle of finding replacement filters.* Just don't know if sweet smelling air is like buying "pure" water. Sales reps for these products must be dancing in the streets in this environment.
The EPA site has some publications that seem to be in need of updating. http://www.epa.gov/indoor-air-quality-iaq/air-cleaners-and-air-filters-home (See also: http://www.epa.gov/coronavirus/air-cleaners-hvac-filters-and-coronavirus-covid-19)
"Ozone is a very effective way of disinfecting water -- and some believe it is also possible to do this in the air." "Unfortunately, at the concentrations you need to destroy germs and pollutants, the ozone levels are so high you cannot safely use it." http://www.rabbitair.com/pages/air-purifiers-that-produce-ozone-may-be-hurting-your-health
