Like Caillebotte's in Yerres".
All French to me!
That was a generous response to pictures of my Winter Garden that were requested in another forum.
I had to look both those up. Way over my head! There are various types of potagers I discovered, most reflecting a kitchen/ornamental type garden.

In 1860 the father of Gustave Caillebotte bought an estate on the banks of the river Yerres and the famous impressionist, and gardener, painted around 80 paintings there, until the sale of the estate in 1879.
The estate and its magnificent garden are now owned by the town and open to visitors.
Okay...
In the meantime, I will just stick to my own little backyard potager. Love the word though and will have to pick up a potager sign!
