Look into relocating and upgrading your router. I moved my router further away from the modem and the TV, and saw an immediate increase in download speed. Then I recently upgraded to a Wifi-6 router, and I'm getting download speeds >300mbps. My ISP (Spectrum) provides 300mbps service as a basic, so your mileage may vary..
Standard Wifi only offers 7 channels, which you share with everyone around you; worse, by default, the routers all use the same channel. Wifi-6 offers about 20 channels, so there's less of the competition with the neighbors for the bandwidth, and it adjusts if it has to. I live in an apartment complex where there are a lot of close neighbors with Wifi networks, and they don't affect me at all. Buffering is not a thing for me. |
