Sometimes works but not always

if a signing service has a long list of notaries they haven't paid (there are a few here, including one mentioned today), then likely the title companies have already received calls from other notaries and have already cut their ties with that signing service (including the one mentioned today). In that case the SS doesn't really care if you call or not, as they have already lost their business from that title company.

Still, I agree, it is one recourse worth trying. It is unfortunate when it gets to that point.
