That's the problem with the lender-prepared CD vs. a Settlement Statement. One of the first ones I saw had a property tax payment (by borrower) listed in the wrong column, so it looked like they were being charged for it again. (Plus there was a charge to fund an impound account for property taxes.) It's going to take a while for everyone - including the doc preparers - to get used to the new forms. But the CD does seem a bit useless to me if it doesn't include accurate numbers for the title/escrow side. |
