| Sometimes I fill in the acknowledgements ahead of time, but don't sign and stamp them until the borrower signs in front of me. In this case, I don't agree that the borrower should report the notary, as long as everything works out as planned. If the notarization is deemed invalid, it could delay the loan going through. If the borrower is okay with that, then do whatever you feel is the righteous thing to do. |
