No matter what language you're working in, if you supply forms (even if you didn't write them) you are in effect recommending them. You could be accused of unlawful practice of law (UPL). Although, the boundaries of UPL are hazy, and it's hard to get a straight answer about what is UPL and what isn't. One hint: if you're getting paid to do it, the risk of being prosecuted for UPL get higher.
You also risk getting sued if the form doesn't accomplish what the signer hoped it would accomplish.
Finally, translation of legal terms is tricky; if a legal term had to be translated, I would go to a lawyer who is fluent in both languages and who conducts legal matters in both countries concerned. |
