In CA, she would be...the DA's office would be prosecuting. A similar event occurred when Jim Dawson's sister's sons had a grant deed transferring title to their names so they could apply for a HELOC on elder mom's home. They had to pay it back. The notary at the bank who did the notarization (mom did not personally appear)? Not sure whatever happened to that person, but would you want that person in your employ...Mom's signature on document was forged, I believe.
