I'm a commissioned officer of the state, sworn to defend the public trust. The reason that TCs
use notaries as signing agents is that we are bastions of trust and integrity, and uphold a title that dates back two thousand years.

Your notary role protects all the parties in the signing; you protect the TC by ensuring the BOs are who they say they are, and that they sign the documents correctly and in all the right places. You protect the BOs by ensuring that they are aware of what they are signing and are doing so willingly.

Like Bob said, it rarely comes up, but this has always worked for me to allay any concerns.
