... personally, I don't find that offensive. In fact, I very much enjoy being a grandma and love it when my granddaughter says "Grandma!" I like to think I embrace my age ... I've worked hard at getting here.
They were in a hurry. Okay. You were on a mission. The Holidays are approaching. Life is short. IMO, I think we should all try to be more compassionate and less quick to judge. In this particular case, one of them tells you he has money issues and yet has to care for his elderly mother. Maybe he can only get an occasional gardening job (which can get dirty) and he's on a quick break from one of those jobs so he can rush home to check on mom.
Again, IMO, the world does not revolve around me. But, rather, I must give respect (regardless of who or what the receiving party is) in order to expect respect.
