I couldn't agree with you more! To add insult to injury, some of these companies only want to pay $65.00 with faxbacks! Not a chance. I regularly decline Equity signings because Mortgage Docs only wants to pay $30 for them. They think its a fair price because there is no printing. What they don't realize is traveling and conducting the Closings takes far more time than printing a set of loan docs. $30 is simply not worth the effort, especially when I could be doing a signing for another company that would pay $100.
Unfortunately, as long as there are Notaries out there willing to do Signings at these lower fees, we will continue to face an uphill battle trying to get the signing fees increased. |
