on Sat. to notarize one of the Wells Fargo mail away packages for her. She works & the deadline to get it shipped was Sat.
She calls me today to tell me that Wells Fargo wasn't going to fund her loan--the reason, get this, is that our last names were the same. I remember her commenting that she had chosen me for several reasons, including the similarity in our names. We have absolutely no connection. I told her she could have WF call me if they needed to verify that fact.
Apparently, WF did some research to validate that I was a legitimate notary.
Nine years & thousands of loans, and this is a new one. It NEVER occurred to me that it could be a problem with our having the same last name--purely coincidental.
I hope they accepted the pkg. & fund her loan. With the holiday, there isn't time for her to re-sign. |
