| I do a fair amount of closings in or very close to the Everglades. It is always very helpful when I know there is a mother bear w/ cubs or even better yet a panther ( mountain lion for you west coast folks) with kittens on the property or near by the property......there are safety issues here. No one ever seems to think about that when they are not the notary who has to walk up the dark driveway to the property. I was escorted into a home yesterday by a borrower with a shotgun because of a bear with cubs nearby. YES we do need to talk to them in advance of the appointment......for many reasons. |
