CO has a huge oversize aging baby boomer population because of all those who flooded the state to get Rocky Mountain High during the John Denver days. So I have gotten these down to a science (as much as possible) . First of all, I require $100 cos RM apps are a lot of work. And my payment is NOT contingent upon the loan or lack of. So far so good. Your post is not clear (to me) what you did re all the doc mistakes, but there is NO WAY I would have sat there for 5 seconds having even an able-bodied borrower correct, initial and sign. Uhuh. Let alone a 92 year old.
RM app signing are just a different animal, and I have learned to set limits, including signers pulling out shoeboxes from cupboards and underneath the sofa and asking me to sort through them for their SS awards letter or insurance info. Unuh. All this is strongly confirmed before I show up. Of course, it doesn't always work that way. Haha. Then there's the husband who refused to hand over the credit card to pay for the appraisal. His wife was screaming at him, and he was bellowing back. I'm wondering if I'm going to get out of there in one piece.
Fortunately, we're not there to ID them, notarywise, for an app, but, of course, things better be in order for the actual signing. So RM apps are a good heads up in that regard. |
