I don't really care with XYZ execs make. What I do care about is how much the NNA has diluted our fees, and that every year the keynote speakers at their annual convention are also diluting our fees, rather than promoting the vital, important role of notaries in legal transactions.
Every supply they sell is priced higher than here. I pay for my annual certification and BGC and am a member of Signingagent.xxx. That is the most meaningful service these people provide to me.
I've never been to their annual convention, as the cost is prohibitive and I see no value, yet a lot people spend hundreds of dollars to travel, attend, eat and imbibe with lots of notaries hoping to find a way to be more profitable. Their hosts: a company that only invites deadbeat signing service owners with sketchy histories and lifestyles who pay low and slow, completely exploiting the notaries who keep them in business.
No thanks, I'll invest my education dollars elsewhere. This dog and pony show has no value to me or most people I know in this business who are movers, shakers and doers and are truly dialed into this biz. It is attended mainly by the uninformed who have the hope of some profitable takeaways that simply do not exist.

So many people have stepped into the circle of dividing notaries from their fees, platforms, signing services who own these platforms, it's getting harder and harder to make a profit. |
