Did a signing last night and I've never seen this before. The language being used in the Affidavits indicate an Oath and Affirmation, "The undersigned being first duly sworn, on oath, deposes and says that . . . " but the Notary language contradicts that with only an acknowledgment, and even spells it out stating "acknowledged before me on _____, by ______who is personally known to me or produced identification, and who did not take an oath." My question was "Is this a typo?" But, late Friday night signings often leave us with unanswered questions.
So, I'm going with attaching an All Purpose Jurat. Anyone ever come across this situation? |
