I owe you all an apology. I had no idea this thing was going to come around so fast. I knew the e-closings were going to happen because we have all been doing those for quite a number of years, but I had no idea that e-notarizations would be taking over the industry as quickly as they are.
Amrock is rolling out e-closings through Pavaso in a number of states throughout the country yet this year, and it appears they are rolling out e-notarizations in Minnesota in December and they have asked me to get ready for it. The entire closing will be done electronically. It appears I will still meet with the borrowers, but everything will be done electronically, including my notarizations. I have been asked to get my application into the State of Minnesota to become an e-notary through the State of Minnesota.
I didn't see this happening so quickly. I'm sorry Linda H because you warned us earlier this year and I didn't believe it. You see how long it took for the lenders and title companies to switch from HUD-1's to Closing Disclosures. I just assumed we had a little more time for this to happen, but apparently not, e-notarizations are here whether we like it or not. |
