No broken bones in the left arm, right elbow, or right knee . . . no structural damage to left shoulder . . . thank God for all of that! I have been diagnosed with a left shoulder impingement injury. My right elbow and forearm are just bruised and swollen, no dislocations or breaks. My right knee is bruised and swollen and the patellar tendon is twisted and swollen but nothing broken there either.
The bruises are already starting to heal, and I have a bit more range of motion in my shoulder today than I did yesterday. I was able to get a little physical therapy yesterday and I think it helped.
I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am thankful that it was only minor injuries compared to how horrid it could have been had that dining room table remained stationary and I would have landed on the corner of the table with my face or chest. The table slid across the room on the hardwood floor which actually eased my fall onto the floor.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread, all the pm's, telephone calls, texts, and e mails of well wishes and kind words of support. That meant more to me than you could possibly know. A couple more days of resting and I am hoping to be back to my closings very soon.
