I have only heard and seen reports that the one thing he plead guilty to was to lying to the FBI during the investigation about something they (FBI) asked him about, not any "illegal" actions outside of that. That actual reporting has come from liberal, conservative, straight news reporting, and one or two of the few down the middle news orgs left.
Of course for some of those organizations, after the first day or so when reporting about him pleading guilty, they conveniently left off what it was exactly that he plead guilty to, depending on their agenda. (it's been true of both the right and left sites depending on what they are pushing at the moment).
