by (a) having the debtor sign an authorization to debit their bank account in xx number of installments and (b) saying it's not for the services - it's for the attorney fees (which most times is a crock but this is what they do)
i did one - a number of years ago - the guy was well informed and was tickled pink to do it - he read everything over and signed willingly. It was after this deal that many states started to take action against these companies and enforce laws prohibiting them from being done except under only the most stringent supervision. I never took another one. |
