Once the document that is notarized leaves the notary's hands, no changes can be made to the certificate without meeting with the signers again and doing a new notarization with a current date. Corrections to certificates after the fact are not allowed here

(8) A notary public may not amend a notarial certificate after the notarization is complete. |
