| I walk into a closing this morning at the borrowers' home, get situated, ask them for their required two forms of id. Both have to go fetch the 2nd form (even though I tell them in advance). Mr. Borrower comes up with his rather promptly and we are seated at the table, ready to begin. A few minutes go by. Wife nowhere in sight. Figure she is still looking for that 2nd form. We start to wonder where she is so he summons her and apparently Mrs. Borrower decided to fold laundry instead of joining us at the signing table. I remind her that I will need to see a second form of id. Mr. Borrower tells her to please focus on the task at hand. We are here to sign papers. She became very defensive and said, "Well I am a very busy mom, and I have many things to do!" I was thinking 'oh gosh, I just need to get these papers signed and be outta here'. We got past that and I got the signatures I needed and I was on my way. Thank you, next! |
