I've been in this business for 9 years and absolutely, unequivocally, disagree. I do not overcharge and have adjusted my fees accordingly. However, if I want to grovel in the "down times" and lower myself to work with these companies that have YOU convinced of that, then it's not really that important to me. I am qualified to make much more than this business, especially in these "down times" is going to give me. So why am I not doing it? Because, at this point, I am not in a position that I'm DESPERATE enough to have to. I have enough reputable companies that keep me from having to go there.
LD, in the years I've been on this site and seen your posts, you have never shown yourself. Obviously you see "Diva" as a derogatory word, but I have no problem (especially SHAME---LOL) in who I am. You dam right I'm a diva and I deserve good and the best. It's too bad you don't think enough of yourself to rise above the thought process of anything other than "go with the flow". The "flow" at this point is making money for OTHER people. If that's what you want to do, then thank G*d you're in FL!!! Too bad for others in your area.
I don't work enough for the company I referred to to take 180 page (make that almost a ream of paper) closings and ESPECIALLY in this economy.
Your attitude, frankly, in my opinion is a disgrace to our community and I hope newbies do not give it credence.
Again, I hope I am not coming off offensively to others, but I certainly do appreciate you giving me the opportunity to show my case-in-point!!!
