Even though is it called "legal", courts and lawyers stopped using it years ago. Most county
recorders refuse (or charge extra) to record a doc on other than 8 1/2 x 11.
It is expensive, heavy, more difficult and expensive to store, and is of no earthly value that
I can determine.
It is rare that you see a document on legal that has more info on it than can be fitted on
11 inch, so it usually does not even save paper.
If you could just set your printer to letter only (do not choose by pdf) you would avoid any
stoppages for dox scanned as 8.29 and 10.62 .
