Even if a company uses SD, our agreement is still with the hiring party and we still get payment from them. SD isn't involved in that part of the process, but they do include a field with payment info that may get automatically generated, probably based on default amounts. I have a fee understanding with the one company I work for that uses that platform, but every once in a while they forget to change it before sending me a confirmation, so I just have to remind them and they quickly fix it. SD users probably pay based on what info is recorded there, so when you get your confirmation, it's a good idea to always check the fee shown so you can get paid correctly up front.
This has nothing to do with what the company pays SD to use their platform. That's a separate agreement between the two of them. |
