Never had a double thumb print, but I did have someone with most of their R thumb missing. She was an immigrant and from the look on her face (and the family with her), I gathered there was quite a story behind that missing part of her thumb. I didn't ask (although I was tempted) and no one offered... If memory serves, we used her left thumbprint and I wrote a brief explanation in my journal. (I left feeling more grateful than usual for being born here!)
