I have heard that before. I am of the opinion that we should all be communicating with each other in our regions to try to standardize the types of fees. I've personally yet to meet other signing agents in my area.
Even after I figured out that they were paying at less than half the rate of other i9 companies, I continued to take signings from them for the experience. Only having 60-some-odd signings under my belt right now, I need to get my numbers up so that I can start working towards better pay and all that. I didn't realize how low some of these offers were from various companies until recently.
I do wish I knew more notaries in my area who do signings full time to network with and learn from. |
