Oh heavens, that company does indeed have such a bad rep. Mr. Safir works for the title company (Genuine Title) - they have their own in-house signing service called Safir Signing. If it were me, I would contact the state reglatory agency of Genuine Title (MD Bureau of Insurance?) and file a formal complaint for failure to fulfill its contractual obligations in a real estate transaction. Past behavior demonstrates that Genuine is fully aware of how Mr. Safir operates on behalf of the company.
