This is the ONE thing I don't like about wireless printers, they are very finicky at times. I have a new HL2270DW, and am currently using a usb printer cable, which can be bought for a few bucks at Radio Shack or Best Buy, and it works fine.
I also have a another Lexmark wireless, color all in one, I bought a few years ago, and it gave me all sorts of issues, so I stopped using the wireless and used a usb cord.
I'm sure you may have tried this, but below is the link to their website for user manual and troubleshooting guides.
You may have to install a different printer driver. So when you uninstall the utility, make sure you uninstall the printer driver. Then try to re-install into a different drive (instead of C:\ ) if you have a split hard-drive. Or you can partition your C drive and try to re-install on the new partitioned C drive.
