Personally, I would not be concerned about the app being able to give me the closest ups location or give me directions to a signing. I find that helpful.
Those of you that have a fear of this can, of course, stop the locater but you might also consider the sophistication it would require for the app to actually track each of you and tell TSI if you are close enough to your signing location to be on time.
In the realm of things to be concerned about, this is not even on my radar
