E&O for title companies is another matter, because there's much more at stake if they make an error.
We're covering our butts, not meeting the requirements of some co. to get work. That's the bottom line.
I carried Notary E&O, Signing Agent E&O, and a Business Liability Policy. This year I was looking to cut expenses because of the decrease in business. I realized much of the insurance I was carrying was excessive, and cut back to $50K.
It would be interesting to see if Harry would be willing to share what kinds of claims have been filed on anyone's E&O.
