Re: Signing Agent School = Notary2Pro?

Yep. And we've heard this song before. Remember during previous slowdowns when various parties in this industry figured that one way to try to expand their businesses to make up for reduced revenue was to offer training - or some new form of training? Even before that, several signing services offered notary training and supplies as a sideline. And when California started requiring training courses for commission renewal, lots more got on board.

I'm afraid this is only the beginning. I have no idea if Notary2Pro is behind this or not, but I think it's probable that we'll see more of this kind of thing. One example: XYZ is already selling another training and certification related to the new disclosures they say will be "required" come October! Give me a break...

We've already seen more of the other most frequent effort to separate notaries from their hard earned money in the form of new ways to supposedly promote our businesses, i.e. directories that no one will probably ever see. There was a new one just a few weeks ago. Remember "NotarizeThis..." by Mary Pugh? She sent me a couple of PMs recommending I just try the free listing, talking about what a great marketer she is, etc., but she never did address in any way my question to her about how she was going to get those listings seen.

Be careful where you spend your money, folks!
