Also, just reading this forum on a regular basis will help keep you clued in on some of the worst of the worst. Your post will help others who may have missed lots of recent discussion about this bad company, but you might save yourself some grief going forward. I recommend trying to read here daily, if possible, because there's often lots of activity and something from one or two days ago can be pages back. (And someone recently reminded readers that we can use the "Previous" button to scroll backwards.) A few posters here make an effort to provide updates about some of the worst offenders, and while the repetition may annoy some, it can be helpful to others. Forewarned is forearmed, as the saying goes...
It's also recommended that you check the Signing Central tab immediately after accepting an assignment (or before, if possible) for ratings and comments from other notaries. Also do a search here on the forum, because not all messages are linked to comments there. If you've accepted an assignment and immediately find out it's from a company with a bad reputation for payment, don't hesitate to turn it back - but you should do that ASAP out of respect for the signers and the title co.
