They see a thousand documents a day so yes the four counter clerks are very professional. They turn away 25% of the documents due to notary errors and 25% for copies in lu of originals. That's a lot of unhappy people.
I usually arrive with a dozen or more documents bound for a dozen different countries. The ones that get a certification must be sent to the US secretary of State to be bound and signed by the Secretary and then sent to the appropriate embassies for authentication. This can take time and some embassies (UAE for example) charge $600 per document. All these fees come out of your pockets so make sure you can cover these expenses before you accept these opportunities. |
