When it comes to renewal, after I make the purchase, the policy number of the bond is listed on the IL state notary application, along with a signature and seal of the issuer. That is the ONLY time I actually see this information, on the application.
Then on the IL sos website, each notary is listed with their name and notary information, including the name of the bond company and policy number.
When companies have asked me for this information, I just shoot them a copy of the screenshot or print out and send them this information from the IL sos website. I've yet to have a problem with this.
Also, its not the same when I purchase e&o insurance, in that I receive the actual policy. I don't when I purchase the bond.
My question is, will a screenshot of my state sos website, showing the latter, be enough to satisfy this new SD requirement?
