I don't have a strong opinion either way regarding threads about bad players in our field. There IS a limit to what can be notated about any company in SC, so linking comments from here to there with more detail can help inform someone's decision about whether or not to take an assignment. But as was said, even that negative attention might cause someone trying to break into the business to give them a try, sadly. (We can only hope they'd have more sense than that!)
However, I do think the point about NOT posting links to bad companies' websites is very valid. All traffic that goes to that site - even if just by curiosity seekers - can help their Google rankings. That could potentially push them higher up the page than some other good company, or even an individual poster who is a member of this forum! We have no idea whom we might be hurting and I doubt any of us would want to contribute to or be impacted by that. |
