| The quality and character of some of the title companies has certainly diminished over the years. I hold them responsible for the influx of so called dead beat signing services. The TC seems to wash its hands of the payment problems presented by the signing services. As a former title agent, it is a cause of embarrassment to me to see this happen. If we ever hired vendors and got a complaint from a third party of non payment, we dropped the vendor immediately. The TC is in a position of trust and hiring non payers is hurtful to the company's reputation. I don't understand why they don't see this. There are just too many signing services out there to justify the use of non payers and a reputable company would assure itself that it is using trustworthy vendors. |
