Has he called you at 2:00 AM if you have a 24hr. listing? He has done that to people. He is not a person looking to use your expertise then, he is calling to see if you will answer the phone if listed as such. If you do not pick up, he will change your listing for false advertising, or even worse, cancel your membership. Anyone can work 24/7 with a prior apt. and I do it many times, it doesn't mean I, or anyone else should pick up the phone and book apt. in the middle of the night, or will run out the door for GNW then, or even answer the phone after 9:00 PM.
Does any other platform call you for "pop quizzes" to test your notary knowledge for other states besides your own? I believe the state we reside in gave us all commissions because we met their requirements, and the quality of our signings will determine our worth. We are only as good as the closings we do and our reputation we carry. That is between us and our hiring party. If a SS or title company does not like our work, they will remove us from their data base. He is not involved in any of that, and he does not employ us to hold that responsibility to insure everyone's quality and knowledge, or lack there of.
See something, say something...isn't that what we are supposed to be doing? Many of us feel he is "unpredictable", the past few years...his random quizzes, and phone calls, and blogs are considered offensive to many people. Even more puzzling than his actions, are the ones not seeing this as a problem that he is bringing on himself representing his business this way. I belong to 7+ platforms, none of which call me for random quizzes or ask me to edit my profile, much less just change it without my knowledge or consent, or remove a paid listing, then requiring you to take his paid class to get reinstated. They appreciate my business, treat me like a professional, offer a quality service.
I see the bottom pyramid of NSA's leaving after their listing expires, and he will be left soon with a small group to work from that he or they placed on top for paying extra.
I get that some NSA's make a lot of connections and money off his site and it may generate many calls, but it's not nationwide and not everyone's experience. People are taking notice, people are talking, and most of which hasn't been positive. Call him whatever name you wish to call him for his behaviors, but doing all of the above is not good business practice. Keeping people happy and not alienating them is what will pay his bills and keep them renewing, not being harassed, listings dropped and ranting on blogs that can be construed as offensive or racist. jmo |
