<<Should all houses be painted for the same amount of money? A castle and a one bedroom cottage?>>
We all know the "real" answer to that, but signing services are, more and more, going to "one price fits all" fees that they offer with their cattle call texts and emails. Why? Because it's easier for them than to have to negotiate and haggle with notaries over each one, individually. Their argument for that practice is that it all evens out in the end. I don't know that it does even out in the end, but even if they have a valid point with that approach, what about the notaries who accept a random job from them and do not get regular opportunities because of lack of signings in their area? Should they not get paid a fair fee for the particular signing that they are taking? |
