Nope, as with back dating, it is illegal. You can't be two places at once, so wherever you sit and sign is the county you put on the notarization. If you go 2 separate places, you have to bill for 2 trips as well. If you are the same notary, you have to attach a separate acknowledgement for the one you sign in the different location. It sounds like they want to make it seem like they are together, and are not. It will add to the recording fee of the mortgage when they have to add that page, so I am thinking they are trying to save a buck. Don't do it! jmo
