I tried to post this last night, but site was down:
<<I'd bet dollars to donuts that the vast majority of readers here don't care who sent what to whom or when. When any forum member makes any kind of comment that sounds like a direct personal attack about another poster, it only reflects poorly against the person doing the criticizing. If anyone feels the need to go after someone else, please keep it to a PM - and preferably just to the parties involved. That's my personal opinion, at least.
Naturally, I'm not talking about comments about companies or directly business related issues... We certainly want people to feel free to say what's on their mind there - within reason, of course. >>
A couple more thoughts from this morning - just in the interest of trying to prevent future issues like this - (although I may be sorry... )
It's my personal opinion that if someone wants to help another by gifting them money, it should be kept private. The embarrassment one might feel by having such a gift made public could very well override any good feelings from having received it. Secondly, yes, we all have a right to post here anything that doesn't conflict with the rules and guidelines of this forum - but that doesn't mean that we should. As I indicated above, IMHO, personal issues should be kept personal.
[For the record, my comments above are directed at specific behaviors, not specific people. It's not that difficult to separate the two.]
