I can tell you that the cost of living has risen drastically here in Va. Beach over the 30 years that I've been here. The building trend now is huge apartment complexes because fewer people will qualify to buy & many of the young generation doesn't want that responsibility in the first place. Why not--the apartments offer so many amenities.
I was amazed to see that this year's standard tax deduction is large enough to cover itemized deductions for many. For the first time EVER, I won't be itemizing. There's been rumors through the years that they'd take away the deductions for mortgage interest & property taxes. This eliminates that issue for many people. |
