As much as it pains me to say this (let alone accept it ), I seriously doubt we're ever going to see an end to the "flooding of our NSA pool".
A few days ago, I was looking through a mailer with a list of classes available to the public at a local community college. Sure enough, there was someone offering classes both for becoming a notary and another one for becoming an NSA. (And this was not by NNA, so they're not the only ones...) I don't always look at these pamphlets, but when I do, there's almost always a class like this from some organization or individual. (This one is by a company that's state-authorized to offer the required notary training classes. They must have a state-approved syllabus for notary training, but there are no guidelines for NSA training.)
I don't know if I've just checked these things more often during slumps, but it seems like the less business there is out there, the more classes there are for training people to jump in. And when they're trying to cover it all in one day, we can imagine what portion of the day is spent on how to actually get started, find work and run a business. Next to none. (In the past, some of us remember posts from newbies stating that they were just told to come to this forum to ask for help. SMH...)
