I charge $15 for fax or scans and it isn't unreasonable. They expect my labor for free? As it is, everyone wants the notary to go ASAP to a signing (poor planning on someone's part), print 400 pages (no charge), drive 200 miles (no charge), spend an hour (or even longer), go to FedEx or UPS to drop the package at the counter, and drive back to their office/home, all for the princely sum of $80.
Not only do we have to put up with page after page of idiotic "instructions" to tell stupid notaries what to do (arrows, circles, pictures, stop signs and threatening language) but NOW some of these people have morphed into "Signing Services" trying to get other stupid notaries to do everything for next to nothing.
Quality and fairness have nothing to do with greed and avarice. |
