TX notaries do not have to keep their journals forever.

Many do keep them forever, but she is well in the clear for not having the journal. In fact, I'm wondering if keeping journals for ten plus years is a good idea.

We CAN ask for a signature, but it is not required.
We CAN'T keep a thumbprint or the number on their ID in their journal.
Residence address no longer required. Last year, the law changed so that address we put down in our journal doesn't even have to be the residence address...just a mailing address.
