I apparently signed on there (for free) as some point I don't recall, just in case. I don't think I've ever received one call from there.
I checked because ages ago, when I was pretty new at this, I signed on with some other directory and filled in my newbie profile info. Years later, the info was way out of date, but I was told that the only way to update the profile was to pay for a membership. It eventually stopped showing up on the first page under searches for my name. (I just checked. It's still there in one form (but no longer under the same name, so it's probably defunct), showing that I've only signed 500 loans - which I've more than surpassed by a factor of 10.)
The point being that the old saying that "what's on the internet lasts forever" is worth keeping in mind.  |
