25k is the most I've ever been asked to provide. Why some ask for more? Because they can--our choice to provide (but I've really never been asked to do so, nor would I.) I imagine there's been a claim or two, but it's not something anyone would rush to post on an open forum. IMHO, the more E&O you have, the bigger 'n better a target you make.
